FC Five Dock is run entirely by volunteers – people just like you, who share a passion for football and commitment to helping running one of our areas oldest community hubs. Our superhero volunteers look after every part of our club – they coach, manage teams, support junior referees, help with ground set up and work on the committee.

Volunteer help means registration fees are kept as low as possible & we can keep teams on the field.

 

Current Volunteering Openings

Mini Roos Coach Support (Paid & UnPaid Positions)

What’s Needed? Anyone aged 16+ who has experience or would like to gain experience coaching & helping deliver our MiniRoos program on Saturday mornings (April to August) as well as during the pre-season.

Time Commitment? 2 to 3 hours (8.30am to 11.30am) on a Saturday morning during the Winter Season (April to August).

Ground Official

What’s Needed? Ground officials are required to help keep things running smoothly on match days (Saturdays and/ or Sundays) so games can be played in a safe & supervised environment. Ground Officials help with ground preparation and setup as well as ensure all the game day processes happen correctly and ensure games are being supported in the right spirit.

Time Commitment? Ground official duty is arranged on a roster system. You can volunteer for as many hours as you like, even a 1 or 2 hour shift makes a big difference.

Competition Secretary

This is an administrative role with no expectation to attend match days or required to be at the park.

What’s Needed? Act as point of contact for coaches and managers who wish to submit a forfeit for their game or request their game date to be changed. You will then need to complete an online form & submit to the association.

Time Commitment? Not more than 1 hour per week during the Winter Season (April to August).


Game Leader Co-Ordinator

What’s Needed? The game leader co-ordinator is responsible for managing  the roster of our junior referees (known as game leaders). In this role you would need to ensure each of our U8 to U11 games have a referee assigned from the pool of available referees. Acting as the point of contact for our game leaders, you would manage the list of which game leaders are available each week and let them know what time and on which field their games are on. There is no need for you to attend games on the weekend, this is more an administrative role.

Ground Setup & Pack Up

What’s Needed? Anyone who can spare a few hours on a Saturday or a Sunday to help setup the fields ahead of games commencing.

Time Commitment? A roster system made up of 1 or 2 hour allocations on a Saturday or Sunday with either a morning option (7.30am) or afternoon option (2.30pm) based on game schedule.
